What is it?
This granite house was converted into a comfortable home about 10 years ago. During the renovation, attention was paid to retaining characteristic features such as the beautiful granite stones and the benches by the window.
The house consists of two floors. On the first floor is an open kitchen and a living room, which cover the entire surface of the house. The lower floors are reached via a fixed staircase. Here are two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom (with bath and shower) and a storage room. The living area of both floors together is 216 m².
The house is part of a small settlement consisting of several houses and barns. This domain also includes a shed of 45 m² with a bread oven, and two ruins: one of a house and one of a barn. The total registered gross floor area of the outbuildings is 349 m².

The house has a small garden, which is registered for approximately 70m² (and in reality is around 100m²), and the shed has a small garden of approximately 24m².

Where is it?
The domain is located just outside the village of Vilela and is easily accessible via a paved road. Vilela is an authentic, charming village. Apart from a café and a bakery that comes by every day, it has no facilities. The village of Galizes is approximately 3 km away and has various amenities such as a café, grocery store, pharmacy, post office. Nearby is also a bus stop for the express bus to Coimbra, Porto and Lisbon, and in Galizes are several restaurants, including an Indian restaurant. Oliveira do Hospital and Tábua are about 10 km away. These are small provincial towns where the main facilities are available such as shops, post office, banks, small hospital (Oliveira do Hospital), schools and weekly market. The larger cities of Coimbra and Viseu are 60 km and 50 km respectively.
