What is it?
This impressive granite village house is located in an old village on the slopes of the Serra de Caramulo. More and more houses are being renovated in the village and this house also has all the potential to turn it into a beautiful characteristic home. The combination of old features such as the granite benches at the windows, the imposing granite stones and the enormous wooden beams, together with a modern architectural style, can create a unique and comfortable whole.
The house has a built area of 350m2. The house is three stories high on the street side and one story on the garden side.

What about the facilities?
The water supply for the house is direct water well with crystal clear water from the Caramulo, which also provides a large part of the village. As well in summer the water splashes from the spring beside the house. It is also the possible to connect tap water. Electricity is available but not connected. Telephone runs in the village. Discharge is via a (old) septic tank.
Is there an outside?
In the shady garden of about 300 m² is an orange orchard with two harvests per year, thanks to the microclimate on the southern slope. In the green wealth that the garden is, grow also some other trees. There are no directly adjacent neighbors: the garden is walled in and surrounded by a village road, a granite stair and a path.

Any specifics?
In the house was formerly a wine press; the remains are still to be found. The granite bread oven in the garden recalls the days of yore. Other details are the old granite fireplace in the kitchen and the ‘lovers seats’ under the windows.

Where is it?
The house is in the village Múceres on the southern edge of the Caramulo. Caramulo is a beautiful area with various plotted walksand hikes. One of these walks (Rota da Linha) runs through the village. Múceres is a small village with a café and a lively village association which organizes several annual town festivals including the great “feira da comida” in spring. A bus stops several times a day in the village. The nearest market and supermarket are just 4 km away in Campo de Besteiro. Here are several other facilities like other shops, hairdressers, restaurants and cafes. Larger places with facilities such as theater, cinema, library, weekly market, supermarkets and vocational include Tondela (8 km) and Viseu (35 km). The Montebelo golfcourse is at about 20 km.
