What is it?
This complex consists of four houses, none of which are habitable anymore. The houses are mainly built of granite. One of the houses has a new roof with a concrete structure and aluminum windows and is relatively easy to make it habitable. At the back of the building is an attractive courtyard and there are a number of outbuildings. Old details such as the layout, the patio, the granite stairs and an authentic bread oven give a special atmosphere to the premises. Below the houses are store rooms and the adega. The total registered built area is approximately 580 m².

The houses have been connected to electricity in the past. Water and sewerage have been present in the street for a few years now.
Outdoor space?
Behind the houses is a flat plot of approximately 3.100 m², which is now partly used as a vegetable garden. From the ground there is a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains of the Caramulo.

Where is it?
The houses are located in the village of Espadanal, about 5 km from Tábua. Espadanal itself has no facilities but there is a cafe about 1 km away. A nice Espadanal feature is the vicinity of the river Mondego, at about one kilometer distance.
Tábua is a small provincial town where the main facilities are available, such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, medical practice, schools, swimming pool, library and weekly market. A train station is about 15 minutes’ drive away and the larger city of Coimbra is about 60 km away.
