Quinta of 10 hectares with ruins and beautiful views, Vila de Mato, Tábua

What is it?
This is a quinta of almost 10 hectares that stretches over the hills near the village of Vila de Mato. The quinta has not been maintained for some time and is therefore a green sea of vegetation. The ruins used to be inhabited and the land around it was cultivated. Thanks to a water source and flatter terraces, that part offers agricultural possibilities. Now it is up to the new owners to rediscover this quinta and restore it to its former glory.
From various places on the quinta there is a beautiful view of the Serra da Estrela and the Serra de Açor.

What are the facilities like?
Because the quinta is not far from the village of Vila de Mato, the facilities of water, electricity and internet are relatively close by, but whether it can all be extended will have to be investigated further. The last houses are about 250 meters from the border of the land.

Where is it?
The quinta is located just outside a village. Vila de Mato is a lively village with a bakery (also serving as a café), with a large outdoor terrace, a few shops and a few cafés. Tábua is 9 km away and Oliveira do Hospital is 12 km away. In these small provincial towns all important facilities are present such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, doctors’ office, cultural centre, schools, library, bus station and weekly market. A larger city like Coimbra is about 65 km away.
