What is it?
The house of this quinta was restored a few years ago with great care and with a sense of detail. The base of the house is probably around 200 years old and consists of natural stone. High-quality materials were used for the restoration, combining old and new in a good harmony. This results in a unique place to live with an exotic atmosphere in a rural environment. The house consists of two floors with a private meditative patio in the middle. On the ground floor are two bedrooms with a bathroom with a sunken bath / shower in between, a large office that can also be used as a bedroom if required, a guest bathroom with shower, a pantry and two storage rooms. On the first floor are a spacious living room, a kitchen, a dining room and a library. Over the entire length of the house is also an attractive covered veranda and there is a conservatory. The living area, including the porch and patio, is approximately 439 m². On the site is also two 25 m² ruins of a barn (one not registered).

What about the facilities?
The house is connected to electricity and it has its own water through a drilled well. In addition, there are 3 water mines that to date provide water throughout the year. The house has three fireplaces and an Art Deco style wood burning stove. Hot water is obtained via solar energy.

The house has approximately 2.4 hectares of land consisting of terraces and rolling slopes with a diversity of trees including chestnut, oak, walnut, olive, cherry, fig and persimmon. The quinta is predominantly south-facing.

Thanks to the care and sense of authenticity with which the restoration of this house has been carried out, the house has not only become very comfortable but also unique in its kind. The property will be sold including (most of the) furniture and equipment/tools.

Where is it?
The property is about 1 km from Anceriz and 3 km from Avô. The accessibility is pretty good. The last 500 meters are a fairly passable sandy path. Only the last 100 meter are less accessible (by 4×4). Anceriz has a café with a small grocery shop. Avô is a pleasant and lively village with a river beach, cafés, restaurants, post office and a few shops. Oliveira do Hospital is approximately a 20 km drive away. In this small provincial town all important facilities are present such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, medical practice, schools, library, small hospital and weekly market. The larger city of Coimbra is around 70 km away.
