What is it?
It concerns two houses (a large and a small one), largely built of slate, as evidenced by the beautiful thick walls. The slate is visible on several walls and you can see how skillfully they were built. For people who love this construction, there is an attractive and special house here, with or without a guest house.
The main house has a registered living area of 139 m² and a registered area of 179 m² in barns and storage areas. The living area is on the first floor and consists of a simple kitchen, 4 bedrooms, a living room. There is a toilet on the balcony. The house no longer meets current living standards but offers an interesting basis for restoration with nice details such as the benches by the windows, a beautiful wooden ceiling in the living room and impressive load-bearing wooden beams.
The small house has a registered living area of 36m² and underneath the house the same area for storage. This house has never been completely finished and is in poor condition.

How are the facilities?
The property has its own well but also the possibility to be connected to mains water. Electricity is present but it has now been closed. The windows are made of plastic with single glazing.
For drainage there is a septic tank. In the kitchen is a fire pit.

Outdoor space?
Both houses have access to a private patio. Behind the patio is a fairly flat plot of approximately 1,500 m² where the well is also located. Grapes run along the ground and there are a number of fruit trees.

Where is it?
The houses are located on a quiet road in the small village of Venda de Vale, which falls under Mouronho. Venda de Vale has no facilities of its own, but less than a kilometer away is a café/restaurant and also a bus stop of the RedeEspresso, with buses that go directly to Lisbon.
Mouronho is 2 km away and has a number of small amenities such as a post office, cafe and butcher. Tábua and Arganil are about 10 km away. In this small provincial towns are the main facilities such as shops, supermarkets, post office, restaurants, banks, medical practice, schools, library, bus station and weekly market. The larger city of Coimbra is about 50 km away.
